You may have noticed that the BlogHer Conferences page has been given a facelift recently, but that’s just the beginning! We’ll be rolling out new features over the next several months, and you can look to this space for more details ... not just about the re-design, but also about BlogHer conferences from a logistical perspective. You’ve got questions, we’ve got answers. Whether you’re a BlogHer newbie or a veteran conference attendee, chances are you’ll gain some new insight from this series, called the Conference Corner.
Today I’m thrilled to introduce you to my absolute most favorite tool on BlogHer.com, our conference agenda roll-over feature. Our regular agenda (I've linked to the BlogHer '11 agenda, but this feature will work for any conference with multiple tracks) displays the schedule in a column format by time, but at the top of the page there is a section that says “Rollover to view Sessions-at-a-Glance.”
If you hover your cursor over that text, an agenda pops up that displays the schedule by track:
Why is this important, you ask? You can see every session in each track, all at once! PLUS, you can print the Sessions-at-a-Glance agenda, giving you everything you need in one handy table. Can’t wait to try it for yourself? I don’t blame you! Go ahead, give the roll-over agenda a try -- I’ll wait for you to come back ...
I have lots of ideas on what to feature in the Conference Corner ... everything from explaining BlogHer's unique panel format to giving the 4-1-1 on official BlogHer conference parties to finding other bloggers in your niche to programming insight, but I’d also like to hear from you!
If you’re a newbie, what would you like to know about BlogHer events before attending your first conference? If you’re a veteran, what do you wish you had known beforehand? Or, perhaps you’re an introverted veteran attendee…are there are things you *still* wish you knew, despite the number of conferences you’ve attended? I’d love to know!
